Tisbury’s open air heated swimming pool up on Weaveland Road is now open seven days a week, for lane swimming, aquaeorobics, parents and toddler sessions and fun swimming for all ages. Go to Tisbury Swimming Pool Facebook Page for their timetable and entry prices.
On Tuesday 4th of June bring your children along to Sol Bakery and Café for a Sing a Ling music and movement class for under 5’s. 10am start. Costs are £6 with siblings half price. The Sol bakery is on the A 303 at Chicklade SP35ST

On Thursday 6th June 2024,The Fonthill Estate is participating in D-Day 80 by lighting a Beacon at 21:45hrs along with other communities throughout the UK, with its flames representing the ’light of peace’. To take part, go to the top of Cratt track in Chicklade, SP3 5SU – that’s at at 9.45pm in the evening
On Saturday 8th June there will be a "Reduce, Re-use & Re-cycle" Car boot Sale At the King George V Playing Fields.. Gates open at 09.30 for buyers (set-up for sellers from 08.30am) Free admission & £5 per vehicle for sellers. All proceeds to the Tisbury Children's Community Garden. Coffee Angels will be open & on hand to provide tea, coffee, bacon butties and their usual selection of cakes. This is part of is Great British Green Week, 8-16th June, mostly organised by the Tisbury Parish Council Environment Committee.
Also on Saturday 8th there is an open garden event for St Peter’s Church in Swallowcliffe from 2-5pm. Park in Martin House paddock. Entrance is £5 per person, children free. Cream teas are £5. Cash only please.
Also on Saturday 8th there is a fundraising yoga and cake event in aid of Dementia UK at Pyt House Tennis club starting at 12 noon until 2pm. If you want to have a free taster session of yoga with Lorraine Connell – that will start at about 1 and all you have to do is turn up and wear loose clothing. Otherwise, just come along, buy and eat delicious home made cakes, donate to Dementia UK, and buy raffle tickets, all for a good cause!
Also on Saturday 8th June there will be a 90’s disco in aid of ‘the brave and determined’ which is a mental health charity based in Shaftesbury at the New Vic in Tisbury starting at 7.30pm. Fancy Dress is optional. Tickets on the door are £10 cash only and there will be a cash bar. Tickets can also be bought in advance from Coco hair and beauty and Cassawara on the high street.
On Sunday 9th June, between 12pm – 5pm there will be another open garden at Fonthill House in aid of a national charity called the Atlantic Salmon Trust.
Also Sunday 9th June there’s a film showing at the Victoria Hall, ‘Wicked Little Letters’, starring Olivia Coleman, starting at 7pm, doors open 6.30pm. If you’re not a member of the Magic Lantern Film Club it’s £8 for adults, £5 for under 18s. Tickets are available at newvictisbury.com
