What’s On… Week beginning 8th May 2023

On Tuesday the 9th of May at 7pm the Annual Meeting of Parishioners and Annual Parochial Church Meeting takes place in St John’s Church in Tisbury. 

On the same evening, just across from the St John’s in the Hinton Hall opening at 7pm for a 7.30 start, it is the Tisbury History Society Talk given by Adrian Holloway speaking about Wardour, the history of the hamlet and its inhabitants. Adrian will have copies of his Grandfather’s book on the subject for sale, with proceeds being donated to All Saints Chapel maintenance fund.   

Wednesday 10th of May Tisbury memory group will be meeting at the Hinton Hall 10-12 noon and will feature music with Lee Knot. 

On Thursday 11th at 7pm in Victoria Hall the Tisbury Carnival AGM will take place. 

Are you young and an early riser? Saturday 13th get up at dawn and be in the Nadder Centre Car Park for 5am for the Young Nature Watch Dawn Chorus Walk. Email youngtnhs@gmail.com for booking and further details. 

Whether young or old but interested in gardening don't miss on the same day, Saturday 13th, the Tisbury Horticultural Society Plant and Garden Sale which takes place in the car park at Hinton Hall starting at 10am.  

And that same evening, Saturday 13th of May, there will be live music by Molly Hughes singing Jazz Standards alongside supper at Messums. Book early to guarantee a table. 

Then Sunday 14th 10am-5pm there is a Charity Open Day at Old Fonthill Abbey Grounds.  

And finish that day with a visit to the Victoria Hall for a showing of Tar, the Oscar nominated film starring Kate Blanchard. Details to be found on www.newvictisbury.com
